Call to action

Today's the day things start happening.

This afternoon Mr B & I return to the LHRMI where we will learn how much they're going to cut off the top of his head this time. We will also learn whether they have any other special activities planned for us him.

We're going to get dinner out after and I'm guessing there may be Adult Beverages involved, possibly even one apiece! gasp!

Also, I made an appointment for an initial consult with the dyslexia-tester guy, three weeks from now. Pinning someone down and having an appointment set is a big relief.

Now all I have to do is find a renter for my house and finish up PT and everything will be perfect!

Everything will be perfect, right? Guys?

  1. They're probably going to remove everything above the neck...

I went and bought a hat this week.

  2. Wow, you do have some serious stuff to think about. Hope everything turns out ok, and they don't remove any parts of his head that he uses.

  3. We're back to exhaling. The probability of recurrence is <5% and the doctor emitted strongly in the good vibe portion of the EM spectrum. We're going with a skin graft this time to cover the larger hole (~5 cm) and speed recovery. My thigh is probably going to be more uncomfortable and slower to heal than my haid.

Peter, I'm thinking a broad-brimmed safari number with a faux snakeskin band. It's you...

Thanks for the good thoughts, guys (and Susan, and E.T., and Danny, and others...)

  4. Yep, it will be perfect. Well, okay, maybe not "perfect" but close enough.

Sorry to hear about the graft and excision, but it does sound like a plan. And that's a good thing.

Hope you both were able to enjoy some relaxation over the weekend. Keep us posted.
